Can't afford to trust us, and one in particular, ought to be especially leery of those messing with their health and welfare.
Ignorance isn't a proper substitute for trust. Smart money says, "trust in God."
At the git go, who knows if medicine men didn't treat the local water supply, before tending to teh villagers(?)!
The primary objective, to serve the self, via material gain, for the self. Many beings know about what medicine people ought do, and have those expectations met.
Many others don't know, and thus are left to rely on us. Which is profoundly foolish (the earmarks of a real sucker).
Strangers and natural competitors, just aren't made to function that way. The patient as victim is illustrated by the treatment he received. That mission was clearly aborted of!!!
