Apology was owned and operated out of a Chelsea loft by artist Allan Bridge. I helped create and edit Apology Magazine. Creating the magazine in the first place was actually my idea, but I can't give myself too much credit for that as it was not an unusual or unique idea in those days. My principal contribution to that publication was transcribing calls using a dictation machine and copy-editing the text. I did other things for Apology but as I remember it now the transcribing was my main contribution, and it explains why I have so damn many cassette tapes of Apology calls.
