\nmade meek and lank in
\nplaces where muscles once
\nzealously flapped with
\nastral hawks plunging into
\ncool fires of our
\nnearby universe.<\/p>\n
Hoisted by a
\nconfusing dream over the
\nspace of the city I
\nstumble through the
\nnebulous muck that
\nclutters this
\nunvanished space.<\/p>\n
Signals strong and weary
\ncollide as equals
\non their way to escape,
\nat their moment of
\ndistribution into
\nmetaphysical parts —<\/p>\n
\u00a0the coily metal signal of a
\n\u00a0phone call troublesomely
\n\u00a0cracks apart into the
\n\u00a0requisite substances of the
\n\u00a0words spoken and the feelings shared —<\/p>\n
\u00a0the soul of a murdered whale
\n\u00a0passes with the sound of a
\n\u00a0doorbell in an abandoned house —<\/p>\n
\u00a0the rising squalor of editorial discord and
\n\u00a0posthumous public scorn heaped on the
\n\u00a0cabals of once-defunct public obscurities
\n\u00a0rises into a tangle of disdain.<\/p>\n
I look the void
\nin the eye and
\ntaste the tired boils of
\ncloudless pedestrianism.<\/p>\n
This is the highway to
\nhaste, the boulevard of
\nrelief, the safest place to
