\nfailure of mythical plans.
\nI boil exotic coffee close to your chest,
\nstripping air from your body in
\nfavor of a lost concoction,
\nin favor of assertions into your imagined nobility.
\nTremors through the pistolwhip,
\njinglebells of whitewash grabbed by plunderful means,
\njump and hunt for crosshatched buttons,
\nbust a testicle running against childhood politicians
\nhobbled by inadequate funding but lofty in the
\nbluntness of fools.
\nNoses run, eyes yellow,
\nshit stains pissed away by best friends
\nstick to the porcelain of your mind.
\nI am watching the calm pace of exhaust
\npump and draw the shiny brain of your
\nunfathomably deep ocean. Arts and letters
\nscratch themselves along your face,
\nvapid songs from decades past pile
\nheavy balloons on top of
\nstarving cars speeding holy and hot through
\ntroubled streets emptied of direction.
\nYou hold your hand and punch at blinded flesh,
\nstumbling headlong up trampy ambulances which
\nhoarsely wheeze interpretable siren-signals,
\nsome mysterious others blunt,
\nall of them rattling down maladjusted Interstates and
\ncrawling through the cupboards of consciousness where
\neach of us knows our fate, each of us
\nunderstands the process of being
\ndigested by life and society and
\nre-introduced as a bottomless cave where
