\t\t\t\tNEED. That’s a word that does not take repeated utterances to sound strange or obtuse. Need. Kneed. Knead. A beautiful woman showed me her tattoos the other night, and I’m trying to remember the exact wording of one of them. I think it said “YOU NEED WHAT YOU HAVE” but it might have been “YOU HAVE WHAT YOU NEED”. I think it was the first version, since I seem to remember the message sounding slightly distorted from what would be expected, and that would suit this woman’s personality, for as clearly as I think I understand it so far.<\/p>\n
To say you need what you have is to say that you have enough, but then saying that you have what you need says the same, just a little more traditionally. But to say you need what you have suggests, I think, that you accumulated things needfully, meaning you did not really need them for utilitarian purposes but more for the sake of having them. By this I imply that needing is greeding.<\/p>\n
