I had piles of student loan debt to declared college majors that have earned me about $120 since 1990. Recruitment propaganda from 1985 and 1986 said I&#8217;d make lots of money if I followed through at this school. Maybe I did, but I didn&#8217;t care about the money. That was vanity.<\/p>\n<p>It is not about the money, nor the major. Americans are weird that way. &#8220;What was your college major?&#8221; is usually a setup for &#8220;So now what are you doing?&#8221; and then hilarity ensues. Hilarity ensues?<\/p>\n<p>Pictures used to be precious records.<\/p>\n<p>Now they are easy-access liabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Occupy my pictures, you easy access protesters.<br \/>\nOccupy nothing, you dadaist artists.<\/p>\n<p>As for pictures from my tumultuous time, in their sparsity, <a href=\"http:\/\/sorabji.com\/pictures\/Corporate_Youth\/\">these will do<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wish I had more pictures from this tumultuous time.
