Though i am doing nothing wrong i feel suspicious. It has been this way since youth. And today, with the abundance of police set out in reaction to the news from Boston, I felt conspicuously suspicious. This is very much an environment for people who think they see something to say something. I decided to spend a restless day after a nearly sleepless night wandering up the subways, looking for payphone carcasses and also curious to see a new touchscreen device allegedly set up at a Jackson Heights station. I think I found that device but I was afeared to approach it, for it was flanked by 4 or 5 heavily-armed NYPD officers.<\/p>\n

I woke up before noon for the first time in months. It feels like my head exploded. On the return i check in here at Doyle’s Corner, a seldom-visited pub that used to have payphone and pinball access. I only checked in here out of too-tired-to-walk-onedness. I feel like a bit of a twad lately with this latest flush of interest in public telephones. Who even cares any more? But with limited mental strength to focus on much else I think it is an easy way to make productive use of time that would otherwise be wasted.<\/p>\n

I cannot understand what most people here are saying. People talk fast and with Irish accents. <\/p>\n

Beatles song on the box. Someone droning the word “vodka” over and over. 8 or 9 televisions. A woman who I thought was a man until 1 second before typing this sentence. CCR now on the box. Have You Ever Seen The Rain? I always thought this was a profound song, as was their other rain song. Who’ll Stop The Rain? Rain rain rain.<\/p>\n

The bathroom is not where I remember it being the last time I was here. <\/p>\n

This place feels like it is on a ship.<\/p>\n

Bartender just commented on my too-cool keyboard. <\/p>\n

Front page of the NY Post says “Saudi Grilled by FBI” even though that cunard was debunked yesterday. Or maybe I just interpreted the cunardity of it. I black out media during big news events, as there are so many ways to be confused. In the end, though, people take what they like from on-the-scene media accounts, true or not. <\/p>\n

I almost boarded a bus to nowhere, or rather a bus to parts unknown. I think it was a Q53, but I did not look at its destination, considering instead boarding that suckah and seeing where it took me. Alas, I didn’t feel so adventurous and retreated back to the subway station.<\/p>\n

I saw someone skateboarding through midtown with a GoPro camera on his head. I don’t think I have the cojones to try that on a subway but I’d like to make a record of my travels anbd travails through some means. I would like to make a closer study of the interesting people I see but cannot stare at for fear of discomfort and asskicking.<\/p>\n

I am entirely glad that I took a good hard dump before heading out today. Anything seems possible after a major evacuation of the bowels.<\/p>\n
