Don’t know why I woke so early. Possibly it’s related to anxiety caused by getting dicked by Grubhub. I have not used them in a long time, I don’t think, and I try to avoid delivery but sometimes it feels necessary or inevitable. I was too fucking tired last night to make a sensible decision. An order placed at 6:30pm did not arrive until 11:31pm, by which time I was dead to the world. I don’t know if the delivery guy rang my doorbell but if he did it failed to wake me, which is remarkable because that doorbell, with its nasal bleating, could raise the dead. I woke to a text message timestamped 11:31pm saying the delivery was here. As I left for the day the cheeseburger was waiting for me, downstairs. He didn’t even try to bring it upstairs. In a casual bit of conversation with myself in the shower today I caught myself saying “Only 20 more years of this shit.” I was referring to death, and based on lineage the age of 77 seeming like a possible end date for this product, this bucket of bones and water. Will I do anything useful between then and now, now and then? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I watched some video of myself in the shower, from a couple of years ago. I don’t know how many recorded hours I have of this ritual but it must be over a hundred by now. I waste a lot of time in the shower, reading news headlines and masturbating multiple times. I drink coffee but do not eat any food in the shower. I’ve tried but it just doesn’t add up. The innards are not hungry for solid food while the body’s outards are being pummeled with hot water and acids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was not intending to but yesterday, whilst walking over to Woodside, I noticed that the planes landing into LaGuardia were going over Planeview Park, my favorite place to watch. I could tell without being anywhere near the park. In some ways I just know the sky. So after I finished my business in Woodside I followed the planes, making video starting around 31st Avenue and 75th Street as I followed the planes’ paths toward the airport. I always get confused when I get to the area. Planeview Park is never where I thought I remembered it. It seems hidden. I’ve heard rumors that it is rat infested but I’ve never encountered any rodentiality. But I’m there in daylight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The planes were neat. They get so close it can be hard to believe they were specks in the sky 35,000 feet away just minutes earlier. I started to question if this was legal, making video recordings of planes landing. It’s not legal to shine a laser at an airplane. I don’t know why anyone would do that except to instigate an incident or a crash. But I’m not disrupting the pilot or interfering with the flight by capturing its trek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s just that video of train infrastructure is illegal, at least I believe it to be. Signs around Amtrak overpasses state that video and photography are not allowed. I gues they don’t want terrorists documenting these transit infrastructures even though blueprints and such are probably all up for grabs online and video can easily be made discretely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was once ordered out of a space under the Throgs Neck Bridge for taking pictures there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
