The information on the mobile app is a ghostly estimation of what should actually be happening. As happened a few Sundays ago, the app reported that a phantom 4 Local train to Cuty Hall was “Arriving” when no such means of transport was present. The signs and announcements in the station better reflected reality, which meant I had to sit in that dungeon of a station at 59th Street/Lexington for over a half hour. Poor me. How I suffer. I knew this would be an anxiety experience so I toked up on the meds and I think it was well planned to do so.

People seemed to like my Embassy ID from when I was ~7 years old. A most unusual childhood memento, to paraphrase one comment. I honestly had no memory of it existing but there is a curio about it that I might want to look into. The SSN that I blurred out is not the SSN I use today. Assuming SSN on the Embassy ID actually means Social Security Number, and assuming the Embassy had the authority or was affiliated with the agency authorized to issue SSNs, this could mean that I’ve had 2 SSNs this whole time. What would that mean? Maybe nothing, or maybe my other SSN was stolen and someone is living large on my childhood identity.

I did have a memorable episode of identity theft some years ago. By most standards I got off easy but echoes of that situation sometimes still echo through to this day. A creit report might still show a past residence in Houston, or a JC Penney credit card I’m sure I never had or applied for.

From what I’ve read it is illegal to have two SSNs but if the circumstances are like mine it’s not considered a crime. I found an account of a similar scenario and the IRS simply merged the two accounts.

My sister still has her Embassy ID, too. If/when she finds it I asked her to check if her SSN is the one she uses today.

I get three days off and I’m not sure what to do with it. There is an area around Ridgewood/Fresh Pond that somehow looks intriguing to me through Cyclomedia imagery. I don’t think I’ve been through this particular area before, between the Lutheran Cemetery and Cypress Hills Cemetery. But I have these thoughts often and almost always find that yes, indeed, I’ve been through this area at some time or other.

Instead of more wandering I should collect my thought. I can’t have more than one, can I?

Subways truly suck on holidays, and Sundays as well for that matter.
