Temperature dropped 40\u00baF over the past couple of days. Makes my bones ache, my moans break. Decluttering I rediscovered the old Zero King jacket. Dad used to joke that you’d get heatstroke wearing this thing in 40-below climes. I did wear it a couple of times, just for gits and shiggles. In 10-degree weather it did make me sweat, no lie. But the jacket does not fit me well and it’s just not my style to look so pimpin’. It’s listed online for $50\/obo but I think it will do better at a coat drive or clothing drop. It’s pretty heavy.<\/p>\n
I’ve been recording a shit-ton of audio for a new radio project. It’s too ambitious for my available time and energy and will likely end up as another mountin of accumulation left untouched but we’ll see what happens. I work at a job where doing anything of my own is virtually impossible, and there are long hours during which nothing happens when I could be productive in my own realms. I have managed to indulge in some research for own non-work related interests but that’s just incidental. So time is limited.<\/p>\n
The new audio is basically a continuation of Payphone Radio, using a cell phone. All phones are payphones, of course, and I have so far retained the \u00e6sthetic of the project by limiting myself only to phone calls using a phone which I pay to use. Not too much of a stretch, really. I can only hope for the best in terms of audio quality, given wind and noise and the general crappiness of cell phone call quality.<\/p>\n
On-again-off thing with a much younger woman has basically ghosted itself. Too many cultural differences and the sex (only twice) was far too rambunctious for me. Another prospect had been a woman at work, also coming from deep cultural differences, but I stand by my better judgment in not getting involved with co-workers. I give her chocolates every Sunday, though, and it’s a nice feeling to see her beautiful, soft, grateful smile.<\/p>\n
I barely touch the piano anymore, and question if I’ll ever be able to summon the muscle memory to reach professional level performances of Chopin Etudes or other technically intricate pieces. It’s fine. As I’ve told many people the past several years, I hated performing. I finally found the only video I ever made of myself performing and I could not stand to watch myself up there, smirking like I was something special while really just going through the motions, That was high school.<\/p>\n
I’m going out for some steps my goal of 10k steps perday has increased to 12k, but only provisionally. I don’t want to explain that.<\/p>\n
