The doctor doesn’t like western medicine, at least the pills portion of it. He advocates EFTs: Emotional Freedom Techniques. It’s what I interpret to be derived from acupuncture, though I have not read up on the practice because it does not interest me. It’s a bunch of bullshit tapping on your head and chest as a way to exorcise the demons within. I remember when he started demonstrating these EFTs to me in his office. I heard quacking noises in my head. He discouraged me from looking up EFTs on YouTube, saying that the people there don’t do it right. I think he wanted me to avoid YouTube because I might see the spew of negative comments from similarly incredulous viewers saying what a crock of shit all this EFT crap is.<\/p>\n
I am actually willing to allow that there is more to EFTs then was revealed in that brief demonstration of his.<\/p>\n
I am not sure what to do about the pills. I have no other reason to go see the doctor, but I guess I’ll get a flu shot or something. I don’t want to look like an addict, because I’m not, at least not with the pills. I still have a full bottle of the old anxiety pills. I didn’t like those because their half life was 24 hours, versus 12 hours for the Lorazapam. Those old pills are presently expired, though I’ve read that that does not really matter. Medicine makers cannot afford to do long-term testing on the potency of aged drugs, so they just say it’s bad after a year to cover their asses.<\/p>\n

It’s a disease where men fear erections because of the risk it will enter their body and kill them.<\/p>\n Page 181 has a beautiful line: “I called from a drug store phone booth … and asked for Narcotics.”<\/p>\n Nice. Like all drug deals ever made the call came from payphones. There was an article in The Atlantic<\/cite> last week about this. I disagree with the conclusion of that, and even a fair number of facts seem to have been munched.
