Lina Acquistapace 1892-1947

Lina Acquistapace was born January 3, 1892, in Cortana, Italy. On August 14, 1923, she boarded the steamship Giuseppe Verdi, leaving Naples for the United States and arriving at the Port of New York on September 7, 1923. Lina declared her intention to become a citizen of the United States on December 24, 1926. She lived at 162 West 4th Street and was employed as a telephone operator. Her Petition For Naturalization was witnessed by Antonio Frazzo, a Presser who also lived at 162 West 4th Street; and by Joe Palistena, a fruit dealer who lived at 222 Thompson Street.
