I spent some time revisiting my homebrew install of Stable Diffusion, the AI image and now video creator that I had some bizarre experiences with last year. Here is a batch of photos generated a year ago by a prompt that I swear did not even obliquely or through some kind of coded language refer to swapping male genitalia with female genitalia. The fourth image shows that sometimes not enough effort was made to wipe out the GETTY IMAGES watermark, which survived the AI content blender, if just barely. I don’t know how much of AI’s content comes from copyrighted material. it is certainly a lot. But that 4th image shows that they do not always do well to erase their sources. The dude’s face also appears to be derviced from that of Ramana Maharshi. To me the first dude looks like Walt Disney. In fact a lot of these guys look sorta-kinda familiar, in that forty-faces-morphed-into-one kinda way.
