This sign, listing business hours of a dentist's office, still shows the old AStoria telephone exchange name instead of the modern all-number-dialing format. I imagine that most people who see this sign are unaware what that AS.8-5791 is a telephone number. Similar to the Millionaire Realty sign in Astoria I think that this old phone number in modern times looks more like some kind of license or certification number.
