yah, i know. i have an unlimited card that i reload, but i didn’t need the unlimited card this month, so i had to get a new cash card since my other cash cards had expired.
i actually meant to delete this post. i realized later i was off base. the 95¢ bonus is phantom money, so they didn’t really shortchange me. i found it confusing at a glance.
i used to frequent a diner that routinely rounded up checks within 2 or 3 cents to the dollar, presumably to avoid dealing with pennies. since then i’ve kept an eye out for mathematical errors printed right on the receipts, as with this one:
