if C is remembered as a great CEO he will owe it to his wife. this is what i think i learned tonight, though it is not always easy to separate what people really mean from what they say outloud to impress themselves and their SPOUSES (hate that word). when C met N his (C’s) credit was so bad he could not even qualify for a cell phone. she disciplined him to focus on spending less, working harder, doing more, and since years ago his credit rating has been basically perfect and he spiraled through the corporate hierarchy that should have stymied him given his non-technical degree in English. i am proud and inspired to know of this. i don’t know what to take away from this for my own bad self. my credit rating remains perfect since 15+ years ago but I have nothing to do with said perfection. nothing to buy and no money with which to buy it. and no interest in being anybody’s CEO. -mt
