by sweepy I mean it just seems to sweep itself away, like nothing is here. Took the first of the new batch of lorazapam pills and have to ask if it’s a different manufacturor. THis shit is much stronger than I ex[ected, leaving me slightly dizzy and sleepy but mostly functional.

Not helping is that I could not find my regular glasses this am, so I’m wearing an oldr set that fails to reach the clarity of the newer pair.  I can get by but it’s annoying.

Walked in silence around the belly of the beast for a while. My ritual of sticking payphone radio cards onto the 77 Water Street payphone carousel has ended. In the past I’d go back and find that 2 or 3 had been taken. Intrigued by who would take one and who would leave them behind I ruled out the janitor as the one removing them. If it was he he would remove them all at once, right?

Alas, he witnessed me placing the cards yesterday nad yelles something at me. I pretended not to hear.

We had a good conversation months ago about the phones. He said people stop by every single day to take pictures of the “antiquities.” I don’t know if he’d remember me or that conversation now but after I placed those 6 cards yesterday they were gone by the next day. It had to be the janitor doing his job.

From our earlier conversation I got the impression he was on my side. But that assumed he knew I was placing those cards while there. He may not have noticed that.

I found the name of the woman who briefly owned 212-255-2748. I’d be instered in reaching out to her to confirm the narrative that she picked up the number unknown of its history, and gave it up quickly as calls from perverts and child molesters came in at random. I got some confirmation about my outsider’s view of that transaction but no one knows for certain why that person gave up the number so quickly. It’s a damn prime phone.
