I’ve subscribed to Yahoo’s Ad Free Mail (previously known as Plus) for many years. I’ve contacted reach support once or twice. Issues were resolved although I was not given the benefit of a human response to my question.
Evidently this support for paying customers has been suspended. All roads to “Contact Us” lead to the community of other users. Yahoo itself is not present.
This is unfortunate because my issue with Yahoo Mail does not seem to affect anyone else. I guess Yahoo assumed that every possible problem had been reported and that the community could handle everything from now on. I am considering sending paper mail if that would get someone’s attention, or maybe visiting a local Yahoo office in Manhattan.
As I posted here, my issue is that I cannot automatically load images from senders in my contacts list. Contrary to what Yahoo’s help documents state I only have 2 options for loading image: “Never by Default” and “Always, except in Spam folder”. Here is what I see in the settings screen:
Yahoo’s path to Customer Care ends up sending me back to the community, and the phone number also turns me away based on the nature of my problem.
I might not be surprised if this was a free product but it is not. I guess they have me where they want me. The quantity of spam messages getting through their filters is also getting nasty. In the past I’d go days without seeing that crap in my inbox, today I’ve seen 9 or 10.
