One of my web sites saw a spike in traffic on September 11 and September 12, 2014. Specifically the traffic went to Jason Florio’s amazing photo of a payphone caller near Ground Zero on September 11, 2001.
I licensed the photo from Mr. Florio for use on the Payphone Project, and wrote a story around it.
The page seen by some 74,000 people, far more than usual for a content page from that site.
This bar graph, taken from my web site’s traffic reports, seems to represent that traffic spike in a shape eerily reminiscent of the Twin Towers.
