I did a simple web site for a local bar, where the owner is a friend. That was a few years ago. Today somehow the site got hacked. I haven’t figured out how, exactly, but it must have just been a case of a weak password. Hoping it’s that simple. What happened was if you searched for the site on google, bing, or other search engine, and if you clicked the links from those search results, you’d be sent to a bunch of porn spam. If you accessed the site directly you didn’t see any of that. It was a matter of referer traffic. The only people seeing porn were those who searched for the site using a search engine and clicked the links from the search results. That’s kind of a low road for hackers but they probably get away with it plenty, since a lot of web site owners are not going to notice it right away, nor would they be able to replicate the matter easily without talking at length with the people who are experiencing it.

I fixed it quickly, though, and might get a free burger out of the deal.

I am at a place called Tea and Milk, which opened here just over a year ago. First time here. Very tiny. Great spot for people watching. Better than the ghetto coffee shop. Just too damn small. Unlike the ghetto coffee shop this place is not populated by horrible specimens of the human race who talk shit about their mother, your mother, everybody’s mother and their goats. That kind of negative energy is a killer.

Feel like writing poetry but no energy. I’m getting up way earlier lately but the days just seem to fly by quicker than when I slept past noon. Tomorrow I walk to the therapist. Thinking there will be plenty of talk about my mother, as I’ve been remembering things about her this week that I don’t think I’ve ever uttered aloud. If this is a therapist who just sits and nods her head while I do all the talking I don’t think that will work. She seemed engaged in the dialogue last week.

not thinking of anything to say but I know the waters runneth deep. Going home to work on spitting out web pages, just like the old days.
