Someone on that website I referred to in a payphone call I have not yet uploaded said, in reference to what I’m doing with the kiosks, that “Banksy is in town.” I had not thought of Banksy as a model but it works, and I’m doing what he does without inflicting financial damage on anyone. I’m like an audio Banksy, spraying my graffiti into the air and into the ears of anyone around.

It has been a beautiful week on the kiosks. I had MLK’s “Dream” speech playing up and down 8th Avenue, and in places where acoustics made his voice sound like Pavarotti. I welled up a little at one spot, 37th Street and Broadway, where his words bounced off the wall of a building in front of the kiosk and off the walls across the street. He sounded like an ocean.

It’s been a busy week here. Taxes done, and I should get back more than expected, with the lingering concern that the IRS might see that I’ve reported loss after loss after loss, and they might reject my deductions since my income looks more like a hobby and not a business. They might be right but I’m trying, man. Still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up.
