“Everything is destroyed. My God, everything is destroyed,” co-owner Denise Diamantis told The Post.

“They say it started in the kitchen. I don’t really know, everything was turned off when we left.”

Oh wow, I loved this place, for as often as I rambled past it and got a grilled cheese & bacon sammich. It is, or was, located at the only truck stop in the five boroughs of New York. There were also a couple of cool abandoned payphones inside. I guess all that’s going to be gone. The phone booth used in the famous “Tommy Got Whacked” scene in GoodFellas was probably just a prop, but whatever its status at the time no booth has been present in these modern days.

Here is my last receipt from the GoodFellas Diner, New Years Day 2017
