Sometimes I find evidence of work performed, industry exerted, and mental ignition lit over achievements I either do not remember accomplishing or which I only believe happened because incontrovertible evidence exists to prove it. Such was my sense of discovery upon uncovering hundreds of my receipts, not scanned as later became my ritual, but individually transcribed and posted as straight HTML documents. I believe my goal was to make the HTML looks as much like the real receipt as possible, an accomplishment not particularly difficult to achieve. I don’t appear to have ever resorted to CSS tricks to achieve this goal, but then real receipts don’t use CSS either, or anything like it. I don’t know how many of this life’s hours were vanquished into what looks like an absurd timesuck, but I have to admit the final product is fun to browse through.
