I’ve known people who say they’d be terrified to ride this thing. I am not, but can see where some might find it scary. This is from a couple of years ago, a video I had no memory of recording, though I had posted another video years earlier using a much lower-resolution camera.
One time I was on this tram when stiff headwinds caused it to basically come to halt. We did not move forward for a good 5 or 6 minutes, and the tram’s driver made no announcements whatsoever. Some of the passengers started screaming, going absolutely batshit with fear that we’d all drop into the East River.
We got to the other side but seriously, the driver could have said something reassuring.
