UPS My Choice is one of the odder failures I’ve encountered. Described as a service that would make receipt of UPS packages more flexible for residential customers I purchased a 1-year subscription a few years ago, and quickly discovered that the program had no merit. I did not renew the subscription to UPS My Choice, but for some reason my account is still alive years on. I get e-mails such as this one, promising an estimated delivery time of between 4:45pm and 7:00pm.
As usual, the delivery was made at a time well outside this promised time span. I think this package actually arrived around 2pm. It’s lucky I didn’t take UPS’s word for it and go outside to enjoy the beautiful day before returning at 4:45 to resume waiting. I just don’t understand why they bother. I don’t think a single delivery has arrived within the promised time frame in the 2 or 3 years I’ve been an unwilling subscriber to UPS My Choice.
I agree. I have gotten emails saying I have a “package scheduled for delivery tomorrow”, only to have the next day come and I get another email saying the delivery date has changed. This has happened several times. Ridiculous

You just have to wonder why they bother. Upside for me is that at least they don’t bill me for this weirdly useless service.
