At first glance I thought it said “UNIFORMED”.
I once tried to explain to a non-musician friend that J.S. Bach was considered woefully conservative in his day, mocked even by his own children for being so last century. Nothing doing. This person knew little of Bach aside from his name, and insisted he was a revolutionary.
