Just pulled a GPX file at random from my stash of hundreds, even thousands of recorded journeys. This happens to be from when I took an LIRR to Steppingstone Park in Great Neck to document an old phone booth on a pier. I did not know Steppingstone Park was a “card park”, open only to locals with a park issued ID card.

But guess what? The guard at the gate just told me to go the hell on in. Seems the card rule is never enforced, but I guess they keep it handy in case interlopers cause trouble and the park can kick them out with no liability. The phone booth was a beauty, too.
