One of my favorite things in the universe was Google’s Earth’s ability to animate a GPS track, so you could relive the journey in something like real time. That no longer works and it is kind of hard to imagine why they would have specifically excised that feature, which seems perfectly innocuous.
I did more walking today than expected after the rubber stamp set became too aggravating for me to stand. I am on the last line and I don’t know if that fact accounts for it but I am finding it almost impossible to get the freakin’ letter in. You have to pluck tiny rubber letters and numbers one at a time from a perforated sheet and squeeze them into one of 7 or 8 rows of a metal grid. I think I need just 4 or 5 more letters to finish the final line of the stamp.
Best Buy now has the new Lenovo tablet on display but I saw no trace of the video I was in. Maybe they don’t show the video at every store. This was the Long Island City location. I don’t know if they will show it on a separate screen or on the device itself. Considering the disorganized nature of the company it won’t surprise me if they do not use the video at all.
Started writing something today but just ran out of gas. Should write about “The Walk” while it’s still fresh in my mind. I already reserved a ticket for “Star Wars”, although the most recent trailer seemed kind of pretentious. I do not want to hear Han Solo talking about how The Force is real but I guess that’s how it goes. I haven’t watched Part 6 in a long time but I remember the Yoda shit being annoying, moreso than in Part 5.
Just noticed that it looks like a downstairs neighbor moved out. Too bad, she seemed interesting. I thought she might have subletted since she travels for months at a time but it looks like she moved on. If I ever reactivate Facebook maybe I’ll get the whole story. I thought she could be an interesting professional contact on account of her livelihood as a writer but she seemed probably not much into networking. I am not much for networking, either.
At the ghetto coffee shop, which let me down last week by taking over an hour to deliver a cheeseburger.
