It’s another try at combining my piano pieces and improvisations with photos and vdieo of my own. This 9 minute video uses sounds of subways pulling into and out of Queensboro Plaza, with accompanying noises. The sound was recorded using a payphone on the subway platform. The only modification to the sound was that it is amplified using Adobe Audition. The piano music, videos, and photos are all mine. At 9 minutes this is probably, or rather certainly is a little too long. It has some good moments but needs a lot of work to be closer to what I had in mind for it. Altogether it’s pretty a amateurish attempt to capture the monotony of dealing with weekend subway delays and trains not running their usual routes. Some day I hope to look back at this and see how far I’ve come in making these videos.
