This did not go exactly as planned, but it sounds unruly and improvisatory. I had intended to try three stories in here, two of them with a more appropriately religious theme. But I only got through the one story about musicians getting through life by lying on their performance resumés. I made it to the chapel thinking it would be a quiet with good acoustics to make a few recordings. Instead the place was surrounded by tractors and lawnmowers engaged in landscaping the area around the building. The landscapers were using the chapel like a garage, making it impossible for me to do what I had planned. This one track came out amusingly satisfying, though it will need several more drafts before it’s done. By the time it’s done the landscaping should be over. I was going to add some piano music under this but the soundscape makes as much sense.
