Here’s my pandemic shoutout to one of the great pianists of the 20th century, Schroeder, somehow able to play Beethoven’s Hammerklavier and all the standard repertoire with only 4 fingers on a toy piano with the black keys just painted on. Taken at 200 Park Avenue today, after meandering through a nearly-deserted Grand Central Terminal trying to find a working escalator or elevator. I now have trouble with stairs on certain types of days (think 10+ miles, see GPS tracker map below), and could not find access to the 200 Park Avenue escalator from Vanderbilt Avenue. Found it on the way out of GCT, but was not clearly marked from outside.
