I’m not so enthused about cemetery pictures anymore. It’s private property, and what right have I to come through that land, scooping up peoples’ ephemeral memories? I got these, though, just for fun. The first sign had me thinking the chapel might be open again, but it is not. The second is of the Civil War Soldiers Monument. then the Johnston Mausoleum. The DRADDY marker is a favorite of mine. It was my discovery, and my contribution to the scholarly research into the Soldiers Monument. The Draddy’s created the monument. Until I found it no other researchers knew the Draddy’s were interred at Calvary. The little box is in the men’s room. I always think it is a payphone. The old B24/B29 sign is ageless. The B29 was decommissioned decades ago.
