It started with a perfectly unneeded and meaningless doctor visit, followed by a long stramble up and down Queens Boulevard from Elmhurst through Rego Park and almost all the way to Forest Hills. In the end I felt like a pulseless bucket of bones and water. I was still feeling whalloped by the Covid-19 vaccine from the day before, but nowhere near as bad as last year when I made the dubious decision to get all three vaccines in one go. Covid, Flu, and Shingles. I felt like death warmed over for 2 days after that questionable decision. Today is Friday and should be the start of a 3-day week, pending whether my leave requests were approved. Somebody here is coughing quite unpleasantly, a hard, hacking cough accompanied by bouts of spitting. Is Covid coming back? I had not heard anything but this ccoughing sounds like the sounds I heard coming from the houses and apartments in 2020.
26,000 steps is about my limit, unless I take half hour breaks and hydrate. In the colder months I neglect to hydrate, which is probably bad. I thought I was on to something new and interesting with electrolytes and these beverages that claim to hydrate better than water. Maybe they are useful but it seems you don’t really need them unless you’e been sweating profusely or exerting yourself mightily. Too much of those beverages when you don’t really need them could damage your kidneys, but that would require a whole lot of consumption.
I spent some CPU cycles generating smut yesterday. It was fun. I’d had no real interest in geneerating fake porn when there isan infinite abundance of the real thing available at one’s fingertips. But I was enjoying the dismemberment and absurdity of it all, three woman conjoined with boobies galore and hands wrenched asunder. Definitely NSFW but maybe I’ll collect a few of themto show here.
I feel fine today. Sleep was efficient and well-managed. I did not encounter the subway siren who I think is interested in me. I think I was on the earlier train. It is very cold today. I shivered and felt vulnerable. There is a path from this office to the subways that is almost completely underground. I may resort to that today to avoid the cold.
The reason the doctor visit was pointless is that I could have simply sent a photo of the condition. A dark spot appeared on the bottom of my foot, and I’d been told to inform the doctor if anything like this occurs. So I did, and I offeredd to send a photo of the symptom, but they mnade me come in person. It was totally needless, a photo would have sufficed. Their web portal has a statement asying please dont’ send symptom phoros unless asked. They should have asked. I offered. Millennial/Gen Z doctors act much like their elder counterparts. Same mistakes, same bad prescvriptions. THe only non-conservative thing about this doctor is that she wears a nose ring,
